Footvolley Stockholm Open 2012
The Brazilian Centre in Sweden (BCS) and Svenska Footvolley Idrottsförening (SFIF) invite your organization/player to participate in the Footvolley Stockholm Open 2012 (a part of the program of Arena Stockholm 2012), which will occur on the following dates:
Dates: August 4-5, 2012.
Time:
- Saturday 10:oo am – 08:00 pm
- Sunday 12:00 – 06:00 pm
Place: Gärdet – Stockholm
Categories e Modalities:
· Categories:
International- 11 different countries will participate: Brazil , Portugal, Sweden (Stockholm), Spain, Holland, Croatia, Norway, Italy, Thailand, Sweden (Malmö) , Germany and England.
National: Two teams from Sweden, they are competing for the championship and the Swedish title
· Modalities:
Men’s double (DM )
- 4 groups, with 3 teams each. First and second will classify for quarter finals.
- The games of the first phase will be from 1set with 18 points.
- In the quarter finals and semifinals, the 3rd place is the the last one, the games will be decided by the best out of 3 sets (with 18 points).
Women’s double (DF)
- A game between two Brazilian teams will be played.
Prizes:
- All players will be awarded medals from Arena Stockholm 2012. One double will be awarded the Fair Play award by the Team of Referees and the Organizing Commission.
- 5000 euros will be distributed as follows:
- 1st place 1500 euros
- 2nd 900 euros
- 3rd 600 euros
- 4th 400 euros
- 5th 250 euros
- 6th 250 euros
- 7th 250 euros
- 8th 250 euros
- 9th 150 euros
- 10th 150 euros
- 11th 150 euros
- 12th 150 euros
Accomodation:
As far as possible, the teams will be staying at Three Star Hotels close to the arena. All consummation of the hotel bar will be payed for by the players themselves.
Players can arrive in Stockholm from 12.00 on Friday and stay until 11.00 on Monday.
Meals:
The organizers will be responsible for meals as follows:
- Friday-dinner
- Saturday: breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Sunday: breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Monday: breakfast
Transport:
The organizers will be responsible for transport between the airport and the hotel, both ways.
Balls:
Balls of the make Mikasa will be used.
Uniform:
Each double brings their own uniform, the exception being if the organizers are able to find enough sponsors to provide with uniforms for the event. The use of articles promoting own sponsors need to be authorized by the organizers.
Rules:
The tournament will follow the regulations of the Swedish club, Malmö Footvolley Club.
Matching of teams:
This will be manual and will be as follows:
- Subdivision 1 – Brazil , Portugal, Spain, Germany
- Subdivision 2 – Holland, Croatia, Italy, Thailand
- Subdivision 3 – Sweden (Malmö), Norway, Sweden (Stocholm), France
The groups (4) will be formed with representatives from each subdivision. The date, time and place for the matching will be announced later.
Coaches and Representatives
Each organization can send the names of their coaches and representatives along with their inscriptions.
Only the representatives will have the right to address themselves to the organizers table.
Identification
Passport or documents of identity need to be presented to the organizers.

Inscription:
- Deadline: January 31, 2012.
- Fee: 0 euros (there is no inscription fee)

Inscriptions by fax will not be accepted. We will email a confirmation of the inscription.
